Therefore the receiving unit has 2 or 3 outlets: one for the screenings, one for the sand and eventually a third discharge for fat (option). These fine screens are fitted with moving and stationary stepped bar units which gradually extract the captured solids from the liquid flow. Due to their function these self-cleaning fine screens are non-clogging and require low maintenance. As a second step, a built-in SNOEK COMPACTOR takes care of the further dewatering to ± 45% DS, and a volume reduction of ± 55% of the captured screenings. Additional, the filtered waste water can be treated by means of a sand classifier and grease skimmer so that the wastewater can be completely mechanically purified. The drive of the unit can be set in that way that the installation works discontinuous and an optimal result will be achieved.
